NuPop FAQs

What is NuPop?
NuPop is a high-fibre, prebiotic popcorn snack made in the UK. Each 30g pack contains 5.7g of fibre and 137 kcal, made from popped corn with a prebiotic inulin seasoning. NuPop comes in four flavours: Salted Caramel, Maple & Sea Salt, Smoky BBQ, and Apple & Cinnamon.
How much fibre is in NuPop?
NuPop contains 5.7g of fibre per 30g serving (19.1g per 100g). That's nearly double the fibre of Proper Salted Caramel popcorn, which has 3.2g per 28g serving.
Is NuPop good for gut health?
NuPop's seasoning contains chicory inulin, a prebiotic fibre. Chicory inulin contributes to normal bowel function by increasing stool frequency; the beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 12g, and each NuPop portion provides 3g.
Why does fibre matter?
Only 4% of UK adults hit their daily recommended fibre intake, according to the National Diet and Nutrition Survey (NDNS). NuPop was created to make high-fibre snacking easy and convenient.
Is NuPop a healthy snack?
NuPop is formulated to be HFSS-compliant (High in Fat, Sugar and Salt regulations), meaning it meets UK government nutrition thresholds. By comparison, 88% of popcorn on the market fails HFSS compliance (Action on Salt and Sugar, 2025). NuPop is also fortified with calcium, which contributes to the normal function of digestive enzymes.
How many calories are in a pack of NuPop?
Each 30g single-serve pack of NuPop contains 137 kcal (flavours range from 136-137 kcal per pack).
What flavours does NuPop come in?
NuPop comes in four flavours: Salted Caramel, Maple & Sea Salt, Smoky BBQ, and Apple & Cinnamon.
What are the ingredients in NuPop?
The base ingredients across all flavours are popped corn (54%), rapeseed oil, and a seasoning blend (15%) containing inulin, calcium carbonate, and natural flavouring, plus sugar and sea salt. Exact seasoning ingredients vary by flavour - full ingredient lists are on each product's pack.
Does NuPop contain allergens?
NuPop does not contain any known allergens as ingredients. It is produced in a facility where milk, wheat, nuts and soy are also handled.
Is NuPop vegan?
Yes. All four NuPop flavours are made without any animal-derived ingredients.
Is NuPop gluten-free?
Yes. NuPop is made from popped corn, which is naturally gluten-free, and none of its ingredients contain gluten. It is produced in a facility that also processes wheat, so those with coeliac disease or a severe gluten allergy should bear that in mind.
How should I store NuPop, and what's the shelf life?
Store NuPop in a cool, dry place. Packs have a 9-month shelf life from production. Note: popcorn may contain the occasional un-popped kernel.

Who is NuPop for?

Is NuPop suitable for kids?
Yes, NuPop is suitable for children, but it is not recommended for children under 5 due to the risk of choking on popcorn kernels.
How is NuPop different from other popcorn brands?
NuPop has nearly double the fibre of standard popcorn brands - 5.7g per 30g pack, compared to 3.2g per 28g in Proper Salted Caramel popcorn - and is formulated to be HFSS-compliant, while 88% of popcorn on the market fails HFSS compliance (Action on Salt and Sugar, 2025).
What does "Regret Free Snacks" mean?
It's NuPop's promise: a snack you can reach for without the guilt or regret that often follows an unhealthy choice - high in fibre, HFSS-compliant, and made with 100% natural flavours.
